Childcare

Choosing Child Care

Quite obviously, choosing child care is one of the most difficult decision any parents can make. The person is in your home with your precious children and whether you are looking for an extra pair of hands, or require total sole charge, the choice is still hard. This is also why, Applejack strongly advises, both in our terms and conditions of business and verbally that each employee satisfies themselves to the validity and suitability of the qualifications and references of the candidate, even when the agency has done so, too.

Information from Parents

Applejack asks clients to be as specific as possible on the registration forms, to ensure we can find the right person for you. We ask for you worst hours, we may sound ridiculous, but the last thing you want is to interview a great nanny for her to then turn around and say she will never be flexible to stay on for an extra half an hour once a fortnight. Even if you feel your requirements are unrealistic, please still let us know.

We always aim for your ideal. if we fall into problems in finding it, then we will talk to you and see if there is a compromise, but please remember, each nanny or mother's help is looking for something different to another nanny or mother's help. If you want to go through your requirements personally, alter points or just discuss the options, please feel free to call us at any time.

What next?

Applejack Nannies has no registration fee. We work on a placement fee only, so even if we send you hundreds of candidates to interview, there is nothing to pay until you have decided to take someone on.

Once we have spoken to a candidate who is interested in your job, we forward their details to you, allowing you to look through their references and CV in your own time. if you like the look of them, you then welcome to call the candidate directly and speak to them before deciding to interview them or not. This continues the filtering process, avoiding wasted time.

If you decide to interview the candidate, Applejack asks for your feedback afterwards to ensure we are both working along them same lines. this gives you the opportunity to adjust your requirements, or to stay on the same track. We only stop sending candidates when you ask us to. There is no limit on how long we will look for you and no pressure. Sometimes the first person you see is ideal. Sometimes it takes five or six people before the perfect person arrives and even then, you may want to interview them twice.

We also continue to work for you once a placement has been made. We can provide you with sample contract of employment, details on where to go for tax and NI advice, help in finding local groups and activities for your nanny to take the children to and so on. This is an ongoing service without a time limit. If you want the agency to call you to check on the progress of your recruitment, we will. If you want us to leave you alone, we will.
